What should I bring to my first dental visit?
Please bring a photo ID, your dental insurance information, a list of current medications, any known allergies or medical conditions, and recent X-rays if you have them. You can review the full checklist on our Your First Visit page.
Do you accept dental insurance?
We are happy to file insurance claims on your behalf to help you maximize your benefits. Because every plan is different, we recommend calling our office with your specific coverage questions. Learn more on our Financial Information page.
What payment and financing options do you offer?
We accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express. We also offer CareCredit patient financing, which allows you to begin treatment right away and pay over time with manageable monthly payments.
How often should I visit the dentist?
Most patients should schedule dental cleanings and exams every six months. Patients with gum disease or a higher risk of cavities may benefit from more frequent visits, and we will recommend a schedule that fits your needs.
Do you see children?
Yes. We see patients from age one and up. Our pediatric dentistry services include exams, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and gentle fillings in a friendly, welcoming environment.
Can my whole family be seen at the same office?
Absolutely. Our family dental care approach allows children, adults, and seniors to receive preventive, restorative, and cosmetic care under one roof, and we can often schedule family members back-to-back for convenience.
What should I do if I have a dental emergency?
Call our office at (225) 218-9218 as soon as possible. We make every effort to see dental emergencies such as severe toothaches, broken teeth, and knocked-out teeth promptly. If we are closed and you have a life-threatening emergency, go to the nearest emergency room.
I am nervous about going to the dentist. Can you help?
Yes. Dental anxiety is very common, and we offer sedation dentistry, including nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation, to help you feel calm and comfortable throughout your visit.
What cosmetic dentistry treatments do you offer?
Our cosmetic dentistry services include Zoom! teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, LUMINEERS®, and porcelain crowns. We also offer aesthetic treatments such as Exion RF and Emface.
How can I replace missing teeth?
We offer several tooth replacement options, including dental implants, mini dental implants, fixed bridges, dentures, and partial dentures. We will help you choose the solution that best fits your health, goals, and budget.
Do you offer options for straightening teeth?
Yes. Our orthodontic services include Invisalign® clear aligners, FastBraces®, Six Month Smiles®, and braces for teens, along with dedicated adult orthodontic treatment.
What are the signs of gum disease?
Common signs of periodontal disease include red, swollen, or bleeding gums, persistent bad breath, gum recession, and loose teeth. Early periodontal treatment can stop the disease from progressing and protect your smile.
Are dental X-rays safe?
Yes. We use digital X-rays, which produce significantly less radiation than traditional film X-rays while giving us clear, detailed images to detect problems early.
Do you use laser dentistry?
Yes. Our laser dentistry technology allows for precise, minimally invasive treatment that often means less bleeding, less discomfort, and faster healing compared to traditional methods.
How can I keep my teeth healthy between visits?
Brush twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, floss daily, limit sugary foods and drinks, and replace your toothbrush every three to four months. Our home care page offers more tips for protecting your smile at home.
